CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT WITH/WITHOUT ICT
As teachers, we have all explored the Management Principles that encompass our specific areas. I see that one point that is usually relegated to the back - dealing with diversities.
As a CARICOM citizen, we deal with students from varying countries, backgrounds, cultures, languages and we are expected to tailor a well-fitted classroom experience to meet this diverse customer. Speaking from experience, there were students who could not speak English well who sat in class and I was only wiser when it was "test time". Others could not see nor hear well and these records were not a part of the general student info. So you know that these students were only "discovered" during the general course of things.
All of us, however, deal with mixed-ability classes everyday so some things are the norm while others may need re-inforcement elsewhere, e.g. a visit to the opthamologist.
